1. The Story of the Material

The Six-Path Tree of Mount Wutai in China, commonly known as "Descending Dragon Wood," is a rare sacred tree found in the mountains. Named for the six perfectly balanced vertical lines that naturally form across the cross section of its branches, it is deeply connected to Buddhist culture and folk legends, becoming a time-honored material imbued with the allegory of inviting good fortune. It grows in the shade at altitudes of 1,000-2,000 meters on Mount Wutai. Its long growth cycle means it rarely grows into large lumber, even after a century. High-quality lumber requires trees over 50 years old, measuring at least 2 centimeters in diameter, with completely unbroken lumber patterns, making it all the more valuable. Its moderately robust wood, with a density somewhere between softwood and hardwood, is light and comfortable to the touch, soft and warm to the touch, neither too cold nor too dry, and some lumber even exudes a faint woody fragrance. Its natural, practical and spiritual qualities make it a valuable resource for art and crafts.

Fun to pet and collectible:

The unique charm of Rokudo Wood lies in its noticeable "change over time" and its beginner-friendly nature. With clean hands and a sincere caress, the wood gradually absorbs the oils and sweat from the hands, gradually shifting its color from a pale yellowish white to an orange hue and finally to a rich, warm honey hue, forming glass-like, transparent patchwork on the surface. The natural six-strand pattern is enhanced by the patchwork, becoming even more vivid and three-dimensional. Some masterpieces even display water wave patterns or "dragon's eye" patterns. Each pattern is unique, bearing the mark of its owner's time. This gradual caressing process fosters a mutual bond between the person and the object, transforming the bracelet from a mere accessory into a collectible masterpiece embodied in heart and time. As reclaimed Rokudo Wood resources become increasingly scarce, it also has great potential for value appreciation.

2. Design Features

-  Six spiritual patterns: The six naturally formed vertical lines are clear and continuous, and some old wood has water wave patterns and dragon eye patterns, which create an antique and elegant atmosphere in the light, and the patterns of each bead do not overlap.

-
Warm touch: Polished by hand with multiple levels of fine sand, preserving the original texture of the wood, it feels soft and smooth to the touch, light and easy to use, and gentle on the skin without any strain even when worn for long periods of time.

-  Crafted with the utmost craftsmanship: the holes in each pearl are precisely aligned, the knots are strong and not prone to fraying, and the combination of accessories such as simple Buddha heads and disciple beads creates a perfect dot stitching that matches the atmosphere of Buddhist culture.

-
A versatile accessory: it can be worn with a variety of styles, from casual everyday wear to suits and even Zen-like occasions. Its understated and antique texture adds elegance without being too flashy.

-  Worth stroking: The wood has excellent water absorption and breathability, and the patching speed is moderate. It is not easily cracked or deformed. Even beginners can easily experience the fun of changing the wood by stroking it.

3. The Allegory of Wearing and Collection

The Six Paths Wood carries deep cultural significance and is a Buddhist treasure, as well as a sacred object recognized by the general public as a warding off evil. The six patterns correspond to the Buddhist concept of "six paths of reincarnation" and symbolize the six swords of wisdom of Manjusri Bodhisattva, allegorizing the severing of worldly desires and purifying the mind. In Tibetan Buddhist culture, it is considered an object of prayer with even stronger powers of blessing. The essential oils emanating from the natural wood have a calming and relaxing effect, and wearing it can calm the mind and nourish the body and mind.

- Daily Wear: By wearing it, you can feel the warmth of natural wood, and at the same time, it can ward off evil spirits, pray for peace, and prevent troubles around you.

- Stroking practice: The repeated stroking process is a type of Zen practice that allows you to focus on the changes in the object, clear away distractions, and cultivate your mind in a relaxed atmosphere.

- A precious gift: giving it to a close friend conveys beautiful blessings that protect peace and cut off worldly desires, making it a thoughtful choice of deep friendship, combining practicality and culture.

- A collection passed down through generations: Rokudo wood is a rare resource, and the longer it is rubbed, the richer the patching becomes, and the more valuable it becomes. It is not just a literary toy, but a collection of Heian period objects and time passed down through generations.
